I'm a Mom recently turned 50 and training for my first marathon (October 2012).  Finished 3 half marathons in the last 2 years.  I have always wanted to be a "runner."  Those half marathons - I did a slow jog and walked some too.  This event is different.  Training to run at an average pace of 11 minutes.  Hoping to finish within 5 hours or less.

I've researched and read everything I could get my hands on about the topic and then have learned through my own experiences and developed some of my own strategies.  I am a non-profit executive with a passion for God, my family, prayer and fitness.  Hope you enjoy my articles.
